For a night it felt like 1997 again as 90’s rock stalwarts Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Bush took the stage in turn at Rock on the Range 2013 at Crew Stadium in Columbus Sunday evening. The day capped off a weekend full of rock of all flavors, including fellow 90’s rock contemporaries Smashing Pumpkins (headliner Saturday). Continue reading

The world of thrash was well represented at Rock on the Range on Sunday at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH as Anthrax and Megadeth showed that music festival just what they are all about. On Thursday 5.3.12, metal fans in Cleveland got to experience arguably the best stage show in rock music today as Rammstein made their triumphant return to Ohio via Quicken Loans Arena. Concertgoers reveled the full violent glory of the show as huge flames, fireworks, spark throwers, and even a giant foam-shooting phallus (yep!) thrilled those in attendance. Continue reading

Tuesday night was big for Cleveland metal fans as the metal gods Judas Priest made their way back to town to rock the Q Arena for one last time as a part of their “Epitaph” farewell tour. The WNCX 25th Anniversary Concert Series continued this past weekend at Clay’s Park Resort in North Lawrence, OH. Three days and nights of bands made it an unforgettable weekend for those who attended!On the first day of the event, a quintet of bands performed all day and into the evening, rocking out to a diverse group of fans including the local Cleveland chapter of the Hell’s Angels. Jackyl was the final band of the evening, and their performance was preceded by L.A. Guns, The Godz,  and Cold Truth. Continue reading
