In anticipation of their album release show this Saturday at Peabody’s Concert Club, Cleveland’s Deadiron have released the first official music video from their new album Out of the Rust and Ruin. “On the Line” is a heavy and impassioned jam – and with moving pictures, even more so!
The song deals with the struggles of making ends meet and supporting a family, a story played out in the video. Meanwhile, the band jams in an auto repair shop, as sparks fly in a completely blue-collar setting – more than fitting for a gritty metal band hailing from Cleveland.
What makes the story of the video unique is the fact that the ending isn’t necessarily what the viewer is expecting – not the mention the fact that the production values are amazing, and really add to the impact of the music. Personally, I felt at times while watching this video that I had a front row seat at a Deadiron concert (well, a Deadiron show with a play being acted out next to it, anyways.) Check it out below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
