Bob Dylan – From Drug Addict to Religious Icon

Bob Dylan , 70 years old today, has had a storied career spanning over five decades. The 1988 Rock Hall inductee was back in the headlines this week after the BBC revealed a lost interview from 1966 in that he admitted to a heroin addiction.“I kicked a heroin habit in New York City,” Dylan confesses, “I got very, very strung out for a while, I mean really, very strung out. Nirvana and Producer Butch Vig to Appear on SiriusXM, 9.24.11

The surviving members of Nirvana, with producer Butch Vig, will appear on SiriusXM radio to take a look back at their legendary album Nevermind with Jon Stewart from Comedy Central’s The Daily Show on September 24. The event will coincide with the radio network’s September 23 launch of a weeklong tribute to the band on its Lithium channel (34). Continue reading

The WNCX 25th Anniversary Concert Series continued this past weekend at Clay’s Park Resort in North Lawrence, OH. Three days and nights of bands made it an unforgettable weekend for those who attended!On the first day of the event, a quintet of bands performed all day and into the evening, rocking out to a diverse group of fans including the local Cleveland chapter of the Hell’s Angels. Jackyl was the final band of the evening, and their performance was preceded by L.A. Guns, The Godz,  and Cold Truth. Continue reading

Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic to Play Tribute Concert in Seattle!

Nirvana’s
Krist Novoselic has been confirmed as one of the Seattle musicians slated to play at the upcoming concert to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of Nevermind this September 20. Joining Novoselic will be several other Seattle bands including The Fastbacks, Vaporland, The Long Winters, Visqueen, Campfire OK, Valis (Former Screaming Trees), Ravenna Woods and others. The artists will perform one song each in tribute to the album that made international superstars out of Nirvana, with over 10 million copies sold in the U.S. and over 30 million sold internationally.
